The unprecedented revelations made by senate majority whip Irungu Kang'ata on the unpopularity of Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report in Mt Kenya region has set tongues wagging.

According to the senator, majority of the region's residents are anti-BBI and unless casuistic strategies are used to popularize the report, odds are; BBI is destined to hit a cul-de-sac end.

Kang'ata's testimony has seen pro and anti-BBI bandwagons hailing and cursing the law maker. More notably, the debate is currently revolving around Uhuru Kenyatta, Raila Odinga and William Ruto.

BBI is the brainchild of UhuRaila's March 2018 handshake and if that Irungu divulged is true, then to BBI pioneers, their mission of salvaging the country from economic, social and political ailments will be in a compromising position. However to Ruto and his allies, Irungu's revelation has resonated well with their longtime stance.

Many may ignore Kang'ata's disclose terming it inauthentic but truth be told, palipo na moshi pana moto. His sentiments sure has an array of  encrypted messages to Uhuru, Raila and Ruto.

To Jomo's son, vultures are hovering above his head and this is not so good a sign. His people are revolting against him and they have a justified reason to do so. Inarguably, Mt Kenya residents are among the many Kenyans who Uhuru's regime has exposed to fangs of suffering, pain and disillusionment.

One may think that since Kenyatta II hails from the very region, the area is robusting economically. That's not the reality and as the popular urban sage goes; Kwa ground vitu ni different. Of the three presidents the region has produced, Uhuru has underperformed and his own people have not felt the positive impact of his hitherto eight-year tenure. Businesses have been shut down, people are struggling to survive and the popular talk is; Jomo's son has abandoned them.

To manifest their fury and discontentment, they will go against anything Uhuru stands for. If he supports BBI they will unanimously vote No and if he throws his gauntlets behind Agwambo in 2022, then they will do the contrary, this is the only way to punish the ungrateful son of the soil.

In 2017, Raila Odinga's magazine had only one bullet left and when it hit a squirrel instead of an antelope, he was believed to fold his political mats and exit the stage but dramatically, the handshake regurgitated his hopes. BBI gave life to his blinking political career and presently, he is relying on the plebiscite process to set momentum for 2022 presidential race.

Baba will assuredly use the referendum results to way lay his course. A win in referendum pinpoints to a gleam future and the reverse is equally true. Signs have already pointed to a fail and this calls for Raila's second thought.

Ruto's allies have received Irungu's remarks with zest and its probable that one of Tanga Tanga liutenants will invite him for a cup of coffee for such a daring testimony. Leaders allied to William have vowed to stage a NO campaign against BBI and that it stands for.

Now since Irungu has spilled the beans, its either Uhuru recollect himself and be accommodative or lest, Kidagaa kitamwozea. Hitherto, there are three possible outcomes expected, Uhuru will lead a pro-BBI bandwagon in his home turf or, he will play ignorant and this will see BBI sinking or more definite ODM leader and his marshals will turn their machetes against him and this may necessitate UhuRuto reunification. All in all, interesting times are in the offing.
