This double recognition within a year by different award platforms undoubtedly affirms and cements the role that the OKash brand has played in touching lives and livelihoods of millions of Kenyan borrowers whom before the advent of the App in 2018, had been relegated to the perifery of mainstream banking.

Reacting to the news of the latest OKash recognition, John, a borrower who says has been using the app since 2019, stated that the win was well merited.
"I am happy for OKash following that outstanding win because they deserve it. Since I started using the App two years ago, it has never disappointed me. I began by reading their terms and conditions and once I was satisfied, I applied for my first loan which was approved and disbursed in few minutes and since then my limit has grown to over Sh20,000," says John.
