Whoever coined the famous Fuata nyuki ule asali maxim had Kenyan politicians in mind. 2022 election is vastly approaching and as expected, those eyeing various elective seats will attach themselves to regional kingpins and the party lords. Woe betide him, he who will swim against the tides.

William Samoei Ruto is undebatably the king of Rift Valley region politics. He will easily win he who associates with the doyen and chants pro-Ruto anthem. Anti-Ruto crusaders will equally pay for their 'sins' for going against the king, in case you want a case study of the aforesaid assertion, consult former Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto.

President Uhuru Kenyatta's former political advisor is among those expected to board  Ruto's Tanga Tanga train ahead of 2022 voyage. Its worth a flaunt to swim with them and survive rather than daring them and dying so goes my personal mantra.

Prior to 2013 elections, outspoken Cherengany MP Joshua Kutuny was among the pack which decamped Raila Odinga's ODM party for United Republican Party (URP). In 2013 parliamentary race, Kutuny lost to Boston Marathoner Wesley Korir. Instead of conceding honorably, he accused Ruto for the fail and that rubber stamped their animosity.

After the drubbing beating, Uhuru Kenyatta come to his aid by appointing him to his political circle of advisors. Joshua served in the capacity until December of 2016 when he tendered his resignation to leverage the ground for his 2017 parliamentary bid.

During his tenure as presidential advisor, Kutuny become a thorn in Ruto's fresh and his name is mentioned alongside Nancy Gitau who are accused to be the forces behind the Jubilee Party curtains who are 'fixing' Samoei. After securing victory in 2017 race, the youthful legislator made it his hobby hurling all kinds of political expletives against Samoei and his bandwagon.

Joshua has severally questioned William's integrity, source of wealth and he has billed the self declared Hustlers clerk a power hungry politician. Ruto's allies have reciprocatingly billed him an insider who is sent by political brokers to taint DP's name in his turf.

Will Kutuny apologize and dine with the king? Likely, likely not. As long as regional politics are alive, unrepentant Kenyans will vote to punish those against their masters irrespective of their agendas.
