How ODM's Latest Revelation is set to Disrupt Ruto's 2022 Game-plan

Edwin Sifuna’s  2nd April 8, 2021 declaration that ODM boss Raila Odinga was not among those who had submitted their presidential nomination papers set tongues wagging with anti-Raila crusaders seeing that as a golden opportunity to make practical of their bids.

Agwambo’s failure to present his papers technically meant that his name won’t appear on the ballot. The deputy president would have been the greatest beneficiary of Raila’s actions. Of the presidential hopefuls who have registered their readiness to unseat Uhuru Kenyatta, putting Raila aside, they are political inferiors and should William face them it would be a smooth ride.

Barely a week has passed and ODM has made yet another unexpected revelation. Speaking to The Standard, ODM director of Elections, Junnet Muhammed has divulged that the party is looking forward to open its doors to allow those who did not submit their papers in the first phase.

Junnet was speaking after the crisis meeting held by ODM party amidst public outcry. Mombasa governor Hassan Joho and his Kakamega counterpart Wycliffe Oparanya were the only candidates who sent their documents in phase one of the exercise.

Jakom will predictably send his papers during the second phase and the possibility of either Oparanya or Joho flooring him in nomination race lies a fraction above a zero. Samoei will have no option but to face the very beast he has been dodging, Jaramoi’s son will be staking on his glowing camaraderie with the head of state and pro-BBI bandwagon.

On the other hand, the man from Sugoi will be staking his bid in God and the countrys downtrodden, popularly known as the hustlers. Their overly large political muscles makes their duel worth a watch. Between Raila and Ruto, who do you think will carry the day?
