British imperialists had their reasons why they badly wanted to occupy Africa to an extent of using the crudest and inhumane tactics to impose their rule on us. Those of you enamored with History understands; the course, effects of the conquest and more notably why Africans lost the battle.
One of the deadliest weapons imperialists used to subdue African resistance was not atomic bombs, it was; Divide and rule policy. They knew mkono mmoja huvunji chawa and to ensure the lice survived, they cut one arm. Africans spied against each other and at the end of it all, it was Africans who lost.
Raila Odinga and William Ruto are not strange names in the country's political sphere, the duo are political operatives of their own fashions. Agwambo basks on notoriety of mysteriousness, ingeniousness and his hand is known of its midas touch power.
On the other hand, Ruto has been epitomized as self made political lord, a poor man saviour who is battling with political sharks to save the face of the downtrodden who he feels have been tramped by the country's royal class.
Fahali wawili wapiganapo, nyasi huumia is true a maxim and as Raila-Ruto engage in a political duel, its the country's underlings who bores the effects of their bruising. But things would have been different if the duo solved their differences and worked together but this 'imperialists' are not pleased with.
With 2022 succession politics drawing nigh, coalitions have started sprouting and as key player, Uhuru Kenyatta whose seat hopefuls are eyeing to occupy is doing all he can to thwart Raila-Ruto reunion for the reason well known to him and succession architects.
Birds of the air, sea creatures and land animals sure knows that a Raila-Ruto ticket will be unstoppable a Tsunami and this Jomo's son is scheming to make impossible. Well, It could be; Ruto and Uhuru broke ranks before handshake and his decision to embrace Jakom was a political ploy to hound his impertinent deputy out of power for the latter is politically immiscible with Baba.
Having managed to whittle down William's powers, he will embark in sealing all loopholes that can make Ruto-Raila alliance a reality, this he is planning to achieve by treating Agwambo hospitably.
Now, assuming that Jomo's son is looking forward to front Odinga's son as his successor. Raila will definitely lock horns with the man from Sugoi and one result is probable; one of them will loose, who could this be? Raila? Ruto? Time will tell.
A second theory goes thus; what if Uhuru abandons Raila a day prior to D-day, what will Agwambo do? What will be his chances? Will there be a team that will flaunt him? Will he 'die' a bitter man?
Though truth is sometimes a cyanide pill, its ethical to tell it as it is. Instead of subjecting himself to an array of possibilities, Jakom and Ruto have a thing to lose but Kenyatta's son has nothing to lose. So? Its worth to join forces to gain together than lose individually.
Uhuru is leading Ruto and Raila to a political Golgotha and chances are; one of them will elope unhurt but another member will pay dearly. This however can be averted if only William and Raila works together to finish their 'butcher man'. Since their joint ticket is a sure bet, they can agree who take what and who to lead where than dying separately. As Swahili wisemen once quipped; Wajinga ndo waliwao and Raila-Ruto are not such.
