In the tummy of modern marriages, the presence of honeymoon can't be easily blurred to the background. After tying the knot with an elegant and immaculate woman, it's common practice for a man to arrange for a honeymoon, probably to a serene space fringed with an oasis of tranquility.

This, however, isn't the case for Muranga senator Irungu Kangata who denied his forever flame the chance to experience a honeymoon holiday that could have been filled with endless, velvet, star-filled skies.

Kangata solemnized his relationship with his girlfriend in a golden ceremony that happened in the rejuvenating Thika Greens Golf Course.

As published by Standard, Muranga senator lacked the elbow room to take his newlywed to a honeymoon holiday as he was slated to lecture at Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA)

He stated that going for a honeymoon would oblige him to miss class, a move that would see his students delayed from graduating.

He revealed that it took him nearly 3 weeks to invite close friends and family to his invite-only wedding.

For clarity, his wedding realized attendance from venerated personalities, including President Uhuru Kenyatta, Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen, Senate Speaker Kenneth Lusaka, Senator Mutula Kilonzo Jnr, Murang’a Governor Mwangi wa Iria, and former presidential aspirant Peter Kenneth.
