How Ruto Could Blindly be Spoiling his 2022 State House Chances

Barcelona, Manchester United, PSG, Juventus are some of the world's popular football clubs not because they have the greatest names, but its because they invest heavily in talented players who brings forth great results in the pitch.

William Ruto is currently an household name in the country not because he is running one of the greatest and well thought Safaricom ads, but it's because he is Kenya's next probable president, that's if his shot hits a supposed target.

Though his odds look probable, Ruto is blindly cooking his political goose and should the aforenamed football clubs share a word with him, he will be advised to invest on highly talented, skilled and apt players instead of sickly and 'handicapped' strikers.
These clubs are known for spending a fortune to buy football stars and they haven't regretted insofar. To win Kenya's presidential race, any presidential hopeful should have numbers, these numbers are attained from the coordination of team players.

Ruto's Tanga Tanga camp constitutes of political lightweights among them 2017 poll losers. These are the very people he is staking his political live on. Cumulatively, you tell me, how many votes will Moses Kuria, Ndindi Nyoro, Susan Kihika, Millicent Omanga, Kithiki Kindure, Aisha Jumwa, Mike Sonko, Mohammed Ali, Johnstone Muthama, Boni Khalwale bring to his Samoei's basket?

The country has plenty of political heavyweights with extensive political networks and influence, these are the people the son of Sugoi should court and not the political underlings he is currently housing.

As the D-day draws nigh, Ruto will predictably found himself standing along as the lightweights dissipate. Regional kingpins among them Uhuru Kenyatta of Mt Kenya region have jump started a process of reuniting their people and this begs the question, will Kuria, Wahome, Nyoro and Ichung'wah go against the voice of their people? This political miscalculation will sure cost William a big deal.
