Unlike the Christians who are yet grappling the uncertainty of not knowing the exact date the son of man is set to return and finalize the salvation process, Ruto's supporters are well apprised of the fact that on 8th August 2022, IEBC is bound by the Constitution to conduct a general election.

Of the six elective seats, presidential slot is set to elicit local, regional and international enthusiasm courtesy of its political magnanimity. William's name tops the list of Uhuru Kenyatta's possible successors and to make this practical, the son of Sugoi will predictably metamorphosize and take a new form in 2020.

As long as Solomon's, "There is nothing new under the sun'' maxim lives amongst us, we can easily predict Ruto's 2020 intrigues. Below are some of political patterns the Hustler's clerk is likely set to take this year (read 2021);

Defecting Jubilee Party in favour of United Democratic Alliance (UDA).

Undebatably, JP is no longer what it used to be five years ago or thereafter and presently,  the question is, not if William will lead a massive exodus but the query is when? After braving barbs and knocks from Kieleweke and anti-Ruto marshals in 2020, the vagrants have finally found solace elsewhere.

Leaders allied to William have  revamped Party for Reforms and Development (PRD) to UDA and the latter's new outlook has augured well with Ruto's ideological stance.

With a Wheelbarrow as its official symbol and Kazi ni Kazi for a slogan, as John the Baptist paved the way for Jesus Christ so has Tanga Tanga lieutenants. Team Ruto have  sent a coded message to their fans of their newly found home with Board! Board! Board! messages strewn everywhere.

Ruto was on 31st December 2020, spotted wearing a cap with yellow, black and green colours, these colours are part of UDA emblem. By donning a cap with colours matching the newly formed party, Ruto passed an intelligible message to Hustler Nation.

Breaking up with Uhuru Kenyatta

Its no longer a secret that UhuRuto 'marriage' is on verge of collapsing and since the row has progressed to full brown stage, Ruto is likely set to detach himself from Kenyatta's son.

By doing so, he will pose as a fearless leader who is ready to take the dynasties heads-on in a bid to salvage Kenyans from an abyss of political servitude. As Jesse's son, William will be epitomized as a 'savior' and this will see him jump starting his 2022 bid.

Staging anti-BBI campaign

After months of leveraging the ground for a plebiscite, 2022 will eventually see that which started in March 2018 coming to a conclusive end. Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga have been vocal in championing for a constitutional reform with Ruto registering his reservations.

Ruto will sure want to be a talk of the town and to make this real, he will oppose that which is propagated by UhuRaila. The referendum results will be used as a pre-determining factor of 2022 race. This exercise will offer William a  rare chance to weigh himself prior to 2022 race.

Support independent candidates

Its apparent that the son of Sugoi is currently tasting waters by fielding and supporting independent candidates in by-elections countrywide. Hitherto, Hustler Nation registered a pass in Msambweni parliamentary race and now Ruto's gun nozzles are pointing to Matungu, Kabichai and Machakos county by-elections.

The second in command's hand  will predictably stir waters in these by-elections and whatever the result his team gets, will be used to weigh their survival chances.

Widely propagate and popularize Hustler's gospel

Ruto is architecting his bid along a social-economic cleavage and though this tale has taken roots, William will sure try in 2021 to see it takes deep roots for the stronger the foundation, the longer the face stands bold.

As Uhuru tries all he can to rebuild the ailing economy courtesy of Covid-19 scourge working, Ruto will do what he does best; empowering youths,  members of marginalized and women by offering donations and merchandises to eke a living.

The earlier bird catches the worm and its less likely that Ruto will slacken but instead, he will work extreme harder, besides gone are the days when things come on a silver platter.

Team 254NewsDay wishes you a bearable and supportive 2021.
