Two Political Miscalculations That Could Cost Ruto the Presidency in 2022

It's no doubt that King Solomon was referring to fundamental principal of dualism when he quipped that which happens under the sun, happens at its appropriate time (read Ecclesiastes 3:1). In short, there exists antagonist forces to almost everything; life and death, negativity and positivity, success and failure, strength and weakness and such.

Literally, most of good things in life come through hardwork, determination and discipline but that's not the case with failure. None works hard to fail, in case you want such a result, just relax and sleep.

William Ruto has become one of the greatest political operatives in the country courtesy of his aptness and political ingenuousness. Ruto is currently among the presidential hopefuls with possible chances of inheriting Uhuru Kenyatta who will be exiting political stage in 2022.

As he throws his hat into the presidential ring, two results are certain; Victory or loss. Life rarely listens to our wishes and its evident William's ship is steering in shaky waters and its destined to hit a cul-de-sac end. Ruto will sure lose 2022 presidential race. How did you deduce that? One may wonder.

One of the popular  tales currently doing rounds in the country is that of Hustlers vs  Dynasty. The former class basks in opulence, bountifulness and high-end social amenities. Kenyatta, Moi and Odinga families have been categorized to such a class.

Hustlers are subject to misgovernance, adversity and suffering. Statistically, they make a larger volume of voters and to this class  Ruto belongs courtesy of his yester year's grouping. The son of Sugoi was born and raised in a humble background and this  has helped him create a good rapport with hustlers.

Inarguably, hustlers have vested their hopes in William but the latter may betray them by supporting Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) which is perceived to overburden Kenyans. Should he throw his gauntlets behind it, he will sure lose a number of his fandoms who saw a saviour in him. This will be a blow to him and his presidential dream.

Reggae maestro Dennis Brown did sing; No man is an island nor no man stands alone. Winning a presidential seat in Kenya is  not a one-man feat but a collective process. A number of political bigwigs are inclined towards Ruto's enemies; Raila Odinga and Uhuru Kenyatta and this is set to work against William.

You tell me, will William beat a team led by Uhuru Kenyatta, Raila Odinga, Musalia Mudavadi and Kalonzo Musyoka single handedly? He may be Goliath of our time but... Should the aforesaid group stage a coup against him, by now you know who will loss.
