Msambweni By-Election Outcome: A Quick Takeaway for the Humiliated UhuRaila duo

It is a victorious wrap for Deputy President William Ruto in Msambweni constituency by-election after the Independent candidate he backed and bankrolled, was on Wednesday morning declared winner with 15,251 votes.

On the other hand, it is an egg on the faces of the UhuRaila duo who had rallied behind the ODM candidate Omar Boga who was deflated to second position in a region considered Raila's stronghold.

The hotly contested mini-poll was turned into a supremacy battle between Raila and DP Ruto after the former declared that the race will be a litmus test for the scheduled 2021 BBI referendum.

Well, as it has turned out, UhuRaila gambled wrongly by rightly associating the race with the slotted BBI referendum in a political contest they were almost certain of winning, but didn't.

Had the ODM candidate won, it would not have been much of a surprise even though Raila would have amplified the outcome to look like an early signal of things to come as regards to the BBI referendum.

Unfortunately for UhuRaila and their bandwagon, that did not turn out to be the case and they may have to wait for another day and opportunity to place and materialize on their gamble.

In the meantime, regardless of how the two might try and miniaturize or brush off the bitter loss, the fact remains that Raila has been boxed at his own "bedroom" and left with painful bruises that will take him time to recuperate.

The ODM leader himself set out the tone on what the Msambweni race was going to be all about (BBI) and now that the results are out, he may as well lick his painful wounds and pray hard that it turns out to be a bad daydream. But it won't!

Msambweni outcome is undoubtedly a befitting lesson to UhuRaila that their unsolicited BBI process is utter scam and nonsense before the eyes of the hustler nation which finds nothing of value in it to them.

It is also an early pointer to the duo that their false BBI narrative about uniting Kenyans and the accompanying nonsense, has began to betray itself in broad daylight; their disguised hogwash has boomeranged on their faces at the crack of dawn. The frivolously built house of cards is on a crumbling trajectory.

The Monkey and the Fox

This is because as it stands now, UhuRaila are nothing less of that Monkey which happened to be traveling together on the same road with a Fox.

As they journeyed, they passed through a cemetery full of monuments. "All these monuments which you see," said the Monkey, "are erected in honour of my ancestors, who were in their days citizens of great renown."

The clever Fox, however, reading into Monkey's unverifiable balderdash replied,  "You have chosen the most appropriate subject for your falsehoods, as I am sure none of your ancestors will be able to contradict you."

UhuRaila's BBI falsehoods might look to them like the most appropriate subject as we edge closer to 2022, but the Hustler nation, just like the Fox, has got its eyelids and lenses wide open. The writing is all over the wall in black and white for them to read! Isn't it?
