Why Raila Should Not Run Against Ruto in 2022

As Christians wait for the return of Jesus Christ, William Ruto and Raila Odinga's supporters are equally waiting for IEBC to ring their bells to official mark the beginning of Raila-Ruto political duel.

The duo are not your regular politicians, Agwambo prides himself as an accomplished liberalist, a radical ideologue and a veteran with donkey's years of political experience who is driven by a larger common good like South Africa's Thabo Mbeki. Behind him, is an army of supporters who are ever ready to support and defend Baba.

On the other hand, William Ruto is a son of a nobody who broke his own 'Kola nut'. His generosity to the downtrodden has elevated him to a Robin hood status. He is a ruthless go-getter with electrifying oratory skills which have earned him dozens of supporters  countrywide.

Literally, its difficult to tell who the really political G.O.A.T is between the two but 2022 elections will. In 2017, Raila fired his 'last' bullet but BBI has added  yet another bullet to his magazine and he is set to fire it against his erstwhile ally turned foe William. Do you think  that is advisable? No! Jakom is not supposed to fire any more shots.

Elayne Boosler is an American Actor, comedian and a humorist. Should Agwambo familiarize himself with Boosler's famous quote, he will predictably let go of his presidential ambitions.

According to the humorist, if one needs 100 rounds to kill a deer, its evident that hunting is not your sport. So? Stop wasting your round of ammunitions on what you can't kill  (the last twelve words are my own words, not Elayne's).

Raila first threw his hat in presidential ring in 1997 and after results, he registered his first loss. He fired three more shots in 2007,2013 and 2017 with each hitting a squirrel instead of the much anticipated deer.

Misfortunes love a shining mark. Its true Baba is a political bigwig, a data bank of political wisdom but sometimes, its worth a dime to accept Murphy's law which has persistently reminded us that what was meant to go wrong will always go wrong irrespective of how much we try to make it right.

Running repeatedly is not a sound strategy of creating a road to victory, the more times you run and loose the more likely you are to loose again. William has never lost any election before, this is not however an indication that he will win 2022 presidential race. But, what of Daniel Moi and Jomo Kenyatta who never lost a single election?.

From the two its evident that some people are naturally lucky while others are unlucky. I hear Mobutu Sese Seko Kuku Nghendu wa Zabanga means one who registers victories after victories. Will Samoei join Jomo and Moi's high table in 2022. Presumably, presumably not.

NASA co-principals had agreed to support the ODM leader's last stab in 2017 with the latter promising to reciprocate in 2022. If he runs, Musalia, Kalonzo, Wetangula and Isaac will feel cheated, used and dumped. Agwambo's loss will assuredly please them more than his victory.

So, how does Jaramogi's son want to be remembered? Should he win against Samoei, history and motivational speakers will live using him as an example of what the power of persistence looks like but should he lose, he will be charged harshly by history. The ball is currently on his court and its his onus to hit it to wherever direction. Odinga has hitherto expressed divided opinions of his 2022 candidacy, this obvious points to a possibility that he is currently weighing his options.
