Kenya's veteran Journalist, Leonard Mambo Mbotela is now calling for the help of all Kenyans of goodwill to help him raise some funds.
The Je, Hu Ni Ugwana radio and TV legend was admitted at the Nairobi south hospital on the 29th of October this year and was due for discharge but the process which was as per the doctor's recommendation so as he can continue with his home based care treatment has now become impossible.
Mambo Mbotela and his family are unable to raise his medical bills which have accumulated upto Ksh 1Million. According to a letter from the Hospital seen by 254 NewsDay, the Nairobi South Hospital asks for any assistance towards offsetting the bill of the veteran Journalist.
The cause of his ailment has not been made clear but the Hospital asks anyone willing to help to get in contact with them in case of any further clarification.
"The medical bills have accumulated to Kes1,105,498.78 as of today and have to be cleared upon discharge. Any assistance given towards offsetting this bill will be highly appreciated" Reads part of the letter dated November 12th 2020
