Elgeyo Marakwet senator Kipchumba Murkomen has made a rare and bold move at Jubilee party headquarters on Friday over disloyalty cases involving three Nairobi City nominated Members of county Assembly.

Murkomen arrived at the party headquarters on the aforementioned day to represent Anita Thumbi, Sylvia Museiya and Millicent Jagero who were recently issued with showcase letters to appear  before a disciplinary committee over accusations of acting in a manner that contravened the rules of the political outfit.

The vocal senator noted that he was defending the trio from being cowed to succumb to unconstitutional autocratic directives issued by the party.

"Currently at Jubilee Party HQs to appear before the Jubilee Party National Disciplinary Committee on behalf of Nairobi MCAs Hons. Ann Thumbi, Sylvia Museiya and Millicent Jagero being intimidated with trumped up charges to coerce them to violate the Constitution of Kenya," said Murkomen in a Friday's Tweet.

This follows after the party, through its Secretary General Raphael Tuju summoned the three MCAs for a hearing and a possible disciplinary action against.

Earlier on, Thumbi reacted to her showcase letter which required him to appear today (Friday) to answer to charges of disrespecting and undermining the party leadership.

She had thrashed the summons, arguing that she was being witch-hunted over her allegiance to deputy president Dr William Ruto, her stand on BBI report and the plan by her colleagues to impeach embattled governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko.
